Altenew Painted Poppy

I love Poppies! I've drawn them, painted them, and today we're stamping one. Or two :)

This set is Painted Poppy by Altenew. It's a layering set, which is pretty cool! First, I stamped the stems and a single leaf (the outlined leaf) with embossing ink onto white cardstock. I heat-embossed those impressions with some Nuvo Silver Moonlight Embossing Powder. Then I added the flower and leaf layers, stamping the base layer in a lighter color and then the accent layers in a darker color. I used an assortment Catherine Pooler Inks (my favorite inks) for this card. Pick any two-tone combinations you'd like from your ink stash :) I used one of the included sentiments, stamping in the right, bottom corner in black. I added some Nuvo Glitter Pen to the petals and leaf and placed some adhesive sparkles randomly around the flowers. For layering my panels, instead of my usual black panel, I used Catherine Pooler's Smoke and Mirrors Cardstock. I though it went nicely with the silver embossing.

Have a great weekend!
